How long it takes to replace windows/doors in your home will obviously vary from project to project. A good rule of thumb, however, is that most competent installation crews can replace up to 7 units per day. For installation duration calculations, large windows and doors count for 3 units. So if you have 2 patio doors, 2 large windows, and 7 regular-sized windows, you would calculate a 3-day installation duration.

Absolutely! Most of our customers aren't ready to replace all of their windows/doors at once. Afterall, that can be quite a large financial commitment to make up front. When planning out your project phases, be sure to take into consideration things like: 1) are you changing the exterior color of your windows/doors 2) if you include replacing some of the windows that are visible to the street, you may want to consider replacing ALL of the windows/doors on the same side of your home 3) Don't bite off more than you can chew financially (make sure phase 1 is a comfortable monthly payment, but still replace as much as you can as soon as you can) 4) If you phase your project out, be sure to ask about the ramifications/possible concerns that may arise with multiple (different) installation crews, outdated/obsolete product-lines, and exterior variations in color.
